Mike Rolls with Rae Bonney

Mike Rolls is a survivor of one of the deadliest diseases on the planet - meningococcal.

One day in 2001, this sport-mad teenager headed off on a football trip and then overnight, was fighting for his life, with only a five percent chance of living.

When he regained consciousness, Mike had lost his right leg, half his left foot, two fingers and part of his nose, along with extensive internal injuries.

From here, Mike went on to tackle recovery with what the world now knows as an inherent spirit of resilience and steadfast tenacity.

This characteristic has coloured in so many other spaces that has made Mike an icon of admiration and inspiration for what he is, rather than the turn of events that challenged him.

A proud husband and father, fitness enthusiast, Australian golf champion and passionate advocate, Mike uses his voice to engage all communities, whilst supporting charities Limbs 4 Life and Interplast Australia & New Zealand.

And that’s just the short of it.

What does it feel like, being you, today?
