Humans are generally quick to adapt to change, despite being resistant to it, this is true biologically, socially, and culturally. But how do we manage our expectations when too many changes occur at once?Today I’m speaking with celebrity sweethearts, Ineke Carey and Steve Carey about their own bittersweet story of unexpected change and how they’ve managed to keep stars in their eyes and wolves from the door.https://www.facebook.com/ineke.careyhttps://www.facebook.com/steve.carey.1690Song: Mental As Anything ~ Concrete And Clay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy9jXEgcH3kReferences:Lifeline - Call in Australia 131114https://www.lifeline.org.au/Suicide Call Back Service - Call in Australia 1300659467https://www.suicidecallbackservice.org.au/

Back in 2015 two men died, 1 to prostate cancer and the other by suicide. Patrick and Nathan were both in their early 40’s, not famous nor particularly well known by superstar standards, but were extremely well loved and adored by their mates. Part of the grief and loss journey experienced by this group of caring and considerate friends, Travis Strong, Scott Eccleston, Stewart Jonson, Michael Fung, Jeremy Kruse, Mark Delaney and Glenn Hull was to establish a not for profit initiative called White Owl for Men's Health. Honouring their legacy, White Owl for Men's Health aims to raise awareness of men’s health issues and generate funds to go toward assisting support programs for men’s health issues. I spoke with with one of the White Owl founders, Travis Strong.https://www.facebook.com/travis.strong.31https://www.facebook.com/whiteowlformenshealth/http://www.whiteowl.org.au/References:Lifeline - Call in Australia 131114https://www.lifeline.org.au/Suicide Call Back Service - Call in Australia 1300659467https://www.suicidecallbackservice.org.au/

The quintessential Aussie inquiry into a person’s well being: “How ya goin?” Typically followed by a short and closed response of “Yeah good!” Asking the question “what does it feel like being you today?” could be the start of a life changing conversation.I’m speaking with Tasmanian Labor Parliamentarian Shane Broad MP, Member for Braddon. We discussed how to recognise when someone is in trouble and recall a valuable lesson he learned from me back in October last year. Shane's also gives us an inside scoop into the upcoming Tasmanian election where health, education, the economy and poker machines loom as key issues.
